Famous Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin recently narrowly escaped a major accident.
Their car struck a tree during a severe nor’easter in the Hamptons.
According to reports, 67-year-old Alec was driving, and his brother Stephen was with him.
The condition of the Range Rover and his brother’s support
The incident occurred in East Hampton, N.Y. Media reports and video footage showed the front of Alec Baldwin’s white Range Rover SUV severely damaged, indicating the impact of the force of the collision with the tree.
It’s a matter of relief that despite such a major accident, the two brothers were not seriously injured.
They were seen talking to police officers at the scene.
Both brothers were actually in the city for the Hamptons International Film Festival.
Alec Reveals the ‘Whale Truck’ Story
Following the accident, Alec Baldwin himself shared a video on Instagram to let his fans know that he and Stephen were okay.
He also recounted the entire story of the accident.
Alec explained that a large, “whale-sized” garbage truck suddenly cut them off.
“A guy cut me off in a truck. A big garbage truck the size of a whale,” Alec said.
To avoid hitting the truck, Alec had to swerve sharply.
In the process, his car collided with a big, fat tree on the side of the road.
Expressing grief, he jokingly said, “I ‘crushed’ my wife Hilaria Baldwin’s car.”
Everything is fine, I’m going to LA now.
Baldwin also thanked the East Hampton police officers who came to the scene and helped him.
He said the police were very nice and friendly.
After reporting the condition of his wife’s car, Alec shared his future plans with fans.
He said he was now heading to LA to meet his family and spend a few days together.
