Ali Larter of the Landman series is unfazed by criticism of her character, Angela Norris.

Criticism of the Character? No Problem!
Whether fans like Ali Larter‘s character, Angela Norris, in ‘Landman’ or not, the actress herself is completely unbothered by it.
When the show debuted last year, people often objected to Angela’s clothing and her ‘flirty’ storyline.
But for Larter, all this is a kind of backhanded compliment that proves her acting is effective.
With Taylor Sheridan, Anything is Possible
Larter has complete faith in her show creator, Taylor Sheridan.
She says, “Taylor is a provocateur. He likes to write characters that evoke some kind of emotion in people.”
She believes that Sheridan’s stories are original and that’s what makes them so interesting. Larter feels that making a topic like oil so fascinating is the work of a genius.
Giving Up a Comfortable Life for Love
From Larter’s perspective, Angela’s story is one of love. She says that Angela is leaving her luxurious life at an age when she should be comfortable, to go back to the man she truly loves.
She wants to laugh, she wants to be happy. Larter thoroughly enjoyed playing this unconventional love story with Billy Bob Thornton.
Similar On and Off Screen
Larter relates quite a bit to her character Angela in real life as well. Just like Angela is a ‘fierce mama bear,’ Larter also says that she would do anything for her children, Teddy and Vivienne.
Also, a love for cooking unites them both. Larter revealed that during COVID, she used to make Michelin-star-worthy bento boxes for her children’s lunches, and Sheridan liked this so much that he incorporated it into Angela’s character!
