Amanda Knox in the Italian murder case – Was she a criminal or innocent? The real truth came out through the Hulu series.

Amanda Knox and Kercher: Friendship or tension?
The series portrays Amanda and her roommate Meredith as being very close at first.
But in reality, Meredith’s friends say there was some strange tension between them.
“We were just getting to know each other,” Amanda wrote in her book, and they had a few awkward conversations about things like keeping the bathroom clean.
The scary night
When Amanda returned from her boyfriend Raffaele’s house, she found the door open.
Seeing blood stains in the bathroom and human feces in the toilet, she knew “something was wrong.”
These details were also confirmed in the Netflix documentary. Wow, how scary would that be!
Strange behavior at the police station
Many people questioned Amanda’s behavior. She did the splits at the police station (though not cartwheels, as alleged).
Raffaele wrote in his book that Amanda clung to him like a “koala bear,” which puzzled the police and Meredith’s friends.
Slapping and Forced Confession
The most painful scene in the series is when Amanda is slapped during interrogation.
“I was hit in the back of the head, I was screamed at,” she said. After 53 hours of interrogation, she signed a confession, which she tried to take back a few hours later.
Man, what a horrible experience that must have been!
Meeting the Prosecutor
In 2022, seven years later, Knox met with prosecutor Mignini. “I didn’t go to forgive him,” she told PEOPLE.
“I just wanted to understand why he thought I was dangerous.” It takes a lot of courage to do that, right?
The Truth of the Story
Although Mignini still believes Knox was on the spot, she was fully acquitted by the Italian Supreme Court in 2015.
Knox is now the executive producer of the series, in which she tells her story from her own perspective.
