Mila Kunis had a unique way of surprising Ashton Kutcher.
One day, Kutcher met the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on a New York press trip and then suddenly called her on FaceTime.
Kunis was “sleepier than a boss” at the time, but when Miranda McWhorter, Layla Taylor and Jessi Ngatikaura appeared on screen, her surprise was indescribable.
Revelation at TIFF
Kunis recalled the moment while speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival.
“My hubby loves me so much,” she said with a laugh.
She said Ashton was reading a quantum physics textbook while she was watching Real Housewives—and it’s these small differences that connect them.
Ashton’s cleverness
“He said, ‘You’re going to be so happy,’ and waved the phone around,” Kunis said.
In fact, Ashton already knew which episodes Mila watches and who she is interested in.
Suddenly, a mock-drama appeared on FaceTime and Kunis’s surprised face was captured on camera.
Mila’s reaction
“Oh my god!” Kunis repeated the same tone even hours later. She greeted the cast with a hug and said, “Hey, girls!
What’s happening?” in her old That ’70s Show spontaneity.
There was genuine excitement in her voice – it was as if she had met an old friend.
