Chad Michael Murray, the hero of the Cinderella story, reveals how Hilary’s “sparkle” attracts everyone.

Still the magic 20 years later
2004 film “A Cinderella Story” co-star Chad Michael Murray is still a fan of Hilary Duff!
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, Murray said Duff has a unique “glow” and an allure around her that draws everyone in.
He attributed Duff’s lasting success to her natural charisma.
Wow! To still be praised two decades later – that’s a true honor!
Fun moments on set
Murray fondly recalls what a great team they had on set.
“Everyone from Duff’s teachers to her mother, to her on-screen co-stars – everyone was so cool and nice,” he said.
Murray even cast his roommate, J.D. Pardo as his character Austin Ames’ best friend.
And Jennifer Coolidge’s stellar performance? He called it part of the film’s “sweet spot” that made the whole shoot feel like a high-school field trip!
“One of my top 2 favorite roles”
Murray called “A Cinderella Story” one of his favorite roles.
He said shooting the film was like “two kids having fun while making a big movie,” and it exceeded all his expectations.
On screen, he was quarterback-turned-pen-pal Austin, while Duff played Sam.
Ballgowns, masks and a cell-phone–as–glass-slipper scenario — a modern-day Cinderella story!

The story of a real crush!
Funnily enough, in 2016 Duff admitted that she had a real crush on Murray during filming!
She was nervous during the kissing scenes, but the two later became good friends and her nervousness subsided.
Still remember that dialogue
Though both are busy with new projects – Duff is the lead in “How I Met Your Father” and Murray is in Disney’s “Freakier Friday” – their Cinderella romance is still memorable.
Fans still repeat Murray’s famous line whenever they see her: “Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in a drought.”
It’s the magic of the movie that still remains! Have you seen “A Cinderella Story”? Did you love the movie as much as we did?
