Chanel Imman’s ‘Special Forces’ Journey

For model Chanel Imman, the experience of the show “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” was truly as tough as its name.

The 34-year-old, who recently left the show, told PEOPLE how challenging the journey was for her.

“I was physically exhausted”

Regarding her elimination, Chanel says, “It was a bit disappointing not to advance to the next challenge.

But when I watched the episode, I thought, maybe going home wasn’t so bad after all.”

She recalls questioning how she would survive. She had to find strength within herself.

A world far removed from glamour

During the two-week shoot in Africa, Chanel realized that this world was completely different from her everyday life.

“I had blisters on my hands, and I had to learn to bandage them myself. There were no assistants, we just had each other to lean on.”

A foodborne illness on her first day also added to her difficulties.

Missing family the biggest challenge

As a mother of three, Chanel’s biggest challenge was being away from her family, where she wasn’t even allowed to call.

She explains, “I kept wondering what my husband, Devon, would do in this situation? What would he say to encourage me?”

When she left the show and met her family, she couldn’t help but burst into tears.

What are her plans now?

After the show, Chanel is now focusing on her lifestyle brand, “Chasa.”

“I’ve put my heart and soul into it. I draw inspiration from my life experiences.”

She further reveals that she has a new pajama collection coming soon.

“Pajamas have been a family tradition. I’ve designed pajamas that are timeless and can be worn year-round.”

So, after going through a harrowing experience, Chanel Imman is now on a new journey with her creativity and family.
