Charisma Carpenter Rumors begin
For the past few days, there was a lot of discussion on social media that Charisma Carpenter could return in the reboot of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.
Fans were very excited about the return of her character Cordelia Chase, but in reality the story was something else.
TikTok Reveal
On August 16, Charisma herself clarified in a TikTok video. In the video, she clearly said that neither she is in the reboot nor has there been any talk related to the pilot.
Even she did not know whether the show will go to series or not.
Cordelia not back
Carpenter clarified, “I have not had any conversation with the ‘Powers That Be’.”
That is, the news of Cordelia Chase’s return turned out to be completely rumored.
She admitted that the reboot is definitely a big opportunity for the fans, but she has no role in it.
Podcast name connection?
Some people were saying that her podcast ‘The Bitch Is Back‘ is a hint of this reboot.
But Charisma jokingly told that this is just a temporary name, which she did not keep as a secret hint.
Update on Buffy reboot
Recently, Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen on the set, who was looking very glamorous in a short red dress.
The new season is being made on Hulu, which is being executive-produced by Oscar-winning Chloe Zhao.
Nora and Lila Zuckerman are writing it and also doing show run.
Old friendship
Carpenter may not be involved this time, but many faces of the old Buffy family have given their voice.
James Marsters (Spike), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Juliet Landau (Drusilla) and Amber Benson (Tara) also did voice-over.
Disney’s stance
Interestingly, Buffy’s Audible portligation did not last the whole year as Disney did not approve production on future seasons.
There was no clear response from AMPs either, due to which the project was halted midway.
