Chase Chrisley proposed to Jodi. Why did Julie object?
When Chase talked about marriage
After two years of a long-distance relationship, Chase Chrisley finally decided to propose to his love, Jodi Laine Fournerat.
But on hearing the news, mother Julie Chrisley’s reaction was not very enthusiastic.
Calling from prison, Julie clearly said, “I cannot leave the role of my mother, but I do not know him, so how can I support this marriage?”
Jodi’s family gave her open arms
While Julie was worried, Chase was finding a sense of belonging in Jodi’s house.
On Easter in Louisiana, Chase chose Jodi’s family over his own home, and when he saw them, his heart was filled with joy.
Jodi’s mother, Gig, said in front of the camera, “Looking at him, it does not seem that he is from outside.
Our values and biological bond are intact.”

In prison, Julie said that her connection with her son’s life did not end.
“My job is that of a mother,” she said. “Chase said he wanted to marry Jodi, and I could tell I didn’t like it.”
The gulf between the two different worlds was clearly visible when Chase said, “Mom, you’ll get to know him when you get out, but I’m not afraid to move forward with him.”
Bitterness or understanding in the family?
Chase said that his parents mix their opinions more, while Jodi’s family accepted him without question and without any conditions.
This contrast made Chase even more sure that he was the right person.
He even stood up straight in front of Jodi and his grandparents and said, “This is my choice and I won’t back down because of anyone’s anger.”

Now everyone’s eyes are on the next episode, where Chase will actually put the ring on his finger or not.
Julie promised from jail that she will meet Jodi when she comes out, but only time will tell how much she will be able to make up her mind from the heart.
