Drake Bell suddenly chose to finalize the divorce process from his wife Janet von Schmeling by filing legal documents on August 14, 2025.
This step was taken in the court of Seninol County, Florida.
His manager, Juan Jose Roviros, said that this is just a formality, which Janet started in Los Angeles County in 2023.
Journey from marriage to divorce
Drake and Janet’s love story turned into marriage in 2018 after five years of dating.
But Drake revealed his marriage publicly only in 2021.
Janet initiated the divorce by citing “very different views” in the 2023 petition.
In the intervening years, both handled everything quietly, but now this chapter is about to close formally.

Rovirosa made it clear that Drake and Janet have the same priority—the well-being of their four-year-old son, Jeremy.
“They are putting their differences aside and moving forward with love and respect,” she said.
