She was carried away on a stretcher
Did you hear? Elaine Hendrix, a contestant on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ suffered a severe foot injury during practice that required her to be stretchered from the ballroom to the hospital.
This happened on October 28th. Everyone thought her competition was over, but Elaine blew it away with such gusto that everyone realized – the fight is still on!
“The skin on my pair was torn off”
The very next day, Elaine posted a video on Instagram to tell everyone what had happened.
She explained that she had danced barefoot during practice, and the “titanium joint” in her right foot was so sharp that it tore off half the skin on her foot!
For Halloween week, she joked to herself, “Looking at me, it feels like I’m wearing a Halloween costume!”
“I’m coming back!” – Elaine’s obsession
From the hospital, she sent a video message to friends and fans. She said, “I’m fine. It’s a bit painful, but I’m starting dance practice again on Friday (October 31st).”
Her goal was to return to the ballroom by next Tuesday. Her dance partner, Alan Bersten, also praised her courage and said he felt the love and support of the fans.

Show host Alfonso Ribeiro had stated that if Elaine survived elimination, she would be allowed to advance.
What happened? Elaine and Alan received so much love from the judges and viewers that they weren’t eliminated! Now, they’re set to perform again next week.
Elaine’s story isn’t just about a dancer, it’s about a fighter who refused to give in to pain and decided to return to dancing. Everyone’s attention will be on her return next Tuesday!
