Dancing with the Stars had a Halloween special, but shocking news left everyone in shock.

As the show began, the hosts announced that contestant Elaine Hendrix would not be able to perform today.

What happened? She was in rehearsals. Let’s find out the whole story.

Elaine and her partner Alan Bersten were practicing their Argentine Tango. Their song was “Bad to the Bone.”

During rehearsal, Elaine felt a lot of pain in her ribs. She had mentioned this before, but today she was feeling worse.

Alan asked her if they could change the choreography, but Elaine wanted to perform. But then suddenly…

Alan said, “Suddenly Elaine stopped. She said she couldn’t move and it was painful to breathe.” Elaine felt a muscle under her ribs get pulled.

The pain was so severe that she was immediately rushed to the hospital. Alan was very worried, fearing that this might end Elaine’s DWTS journey.

Without Elaine’s performance, the show had to continue. The judges had to watch her last full rehearsal video and give their feedback based on that.

Derek Hough said that Elaine is a born performer and that she would have been 10 years older today. Bruno Tonioli praised Alan’s choreography.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba expressed her heartbreak, “I’m so sad to hear this.

After last week, she was about to reach a new level. That rehearsal video was so amazing!”

From her hospital bed, Elaine shared a video on Instagram appealing to her fans.

She said, “I’m absolutely heartbroken. Only with your votes and support can I come back next week.”

Luckily, fans saved her, and she remains in the competition. This week, Jen Affleck had to leave the show.
