Daytime Emmys 2025: Paul Telfer wins, find out his strong nominees.

Emmys winner is⦠Paul Telfer!
Who is crowned this year’s “Lead Actor”? Paul Telfer won this coveted title at the 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards in 2025.
He received the award for his powerful portrayal of Xander Kiriakis in “Days of Our Lives.”
This was his second nomination, but his first win.
Who did he remember in his speech?
Upon taking the stage, Paul Telfer (45) first thanked his wife, Carmen Cusack, who was absent due to work.
He then thanked the entire cast, crew, and other nominees of “Days of Our Lives.”
But the most interesting thing he revealed was about his 80-year-old father.
He said, “I never expected my 80-year-old father to become a soap opera fan, but he did!”
An Emotional Moment for His Mother
The most emotional moment in Paul’s speech was when he remembered his mother.
He said, “My mother loved soap operas, and she especially loved villains.”
He said that it has been 20 years since his mother passed away, “so winning this award for playing a villain in a soap opera means a lot to me.”
The competition was fierce!
This win wasn’t easy, as the race included some of the industry’s biggest names.
Dominic Zamprogna of ‘General Hospital’ (who has appeared in over 1,600 episodes) was also nominated.
Paul’s co-stars from ‘Days of Our Lives’, Eric Martsolf (who won the Supporting Actor award in 2014) and Greg Rikaart (who previously won for ‘The Young and the Restless’), were also giving tough competition.
This actor is nominated for the 24th time!
But the real ‘legend’ in this category was Peter Bergman.
Peter has been playing Jack Abbott in ‘The Young and the Restless’ since 1989.
You’ll be surprised to know that this was his 24th (24th!) nomination for this role, and he has already won this award three times.
It’s a truly remarkable achievement for Paul Telfer to win the award among such legends.
