I hear Evan Peters learned something new while filming his new series! The 38-year-old actor learned several foreign languages for his upcoming FX and Hulu series “The Beauty.” How much fun would that be?
New York Comic Con Blast
During a panel at New York Comic Con on October 11th, Evan revealed how he prepared for his mysterious character.
Ryan Murphy moderated the show, and Anthony Ramos, Ashton Kutcher, Jeremy Pope, and Rebecca Hall were also present.
Ryan, who has worked with Evan several times, admitted that he always adds “something extremely challenging” to the role of Evan. And this time, it was learning multiple languages!
Friendship with Languages
When asked how he accepted this challenge, Evan said, “I enjoyed it. It was fun, and I had some great tutors.” He also mentioned the Babble app.
Avon explained, “Working with tutors was the best. Starting with the basics of the language and then focusing on pronunciation.
They’re so different. So, starting with the basics, then working through the script and translating, I progressed.”
International Thriller Flavor
Although Avon didn’t reveal how many languages he learned, the show was shot in four different locations: New York, Paris, Venice, and Rome.
This suggests French and Italian may be involved! This international thriller is created by Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, based on the comic book series by Jeremy Hawn and Jason A. Hurley.
The story is about a sexually transmitted virus that “makes those affected more beautiful, but with deadly consequences.” The show will be released on Hulu and FX in early 2026.
Avon’s New Avatar
Ryan hinted that “The Beauty” will feature a new version of Avon.
He said, “He plays these amazing characters for me, and I think he’s satisfied because he wants to play dark and gloomy characters, and then halfway through he says, ‘I hate this.
I want to do a rom-com and be light-hearted. I want to get girls.'”
Sacrifice for Love
Ryan explained that Avon will play a lighter character in the show, allowing him to “get the girl and win her, like Steve McQueen.”
“I think it’ll be an exciting show for people because you’re not a villain by any means.
In fact, ultimately, you make an amazing sacrifice for love, which is a first in your career.”
Avon responded that his new role was “a challenge.” But, he added, “It was fun. We had a lot of fun.”
