Glen Powell was attending the premiere of the film ‘The Running Man’. There was glitz, glamour, camera flashes… everything.

But there was one more thing on Glenn’s mind that day. That was hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL).

He shared one of his most hilarious kisses there, which is the story of a dream come true.

Glen recounted how he called his friend Mitch one day. Recalling that moment, Glen said, “Mitch asked, ‘What’s going on?’ I said, ‘I’m hosting SNL!'”

Mitch couldn’t believe it! Glenn said, “He said in shock, ‘Seriously?'” And I casually said, ‘Yes, it’s the Christmas episode, definitely watch it!'”

if your friend just told you he was going to host a popular TV show, you’d be a little skeptical, right?

Then what happened? The offer disappeared!

But the world thought otherwise. Glenn’s film ‘Top Gun’ was delayed due to COVID. And SNL also withdrew its offer!

Now imagine how embarrassing that was for Glenn. He himself said, “For the next four years, Mitch thought I was a liar!”

Glenn was so desperate to prove his truth that he even sought help from his sisters to find Mitch.

He wanted to tell Mitch that he wasn’t crazy; he was really made the host.

Finally a dream

And today? What’s happening today? Glenn’s childhood dream is finally coming true. He’s hosting the SNL stage today.

And the best part is that Mitch, who thought he was a liar, is sitting in the audience watching the show! Glenn happily shared, “Mitch thought it was a scam, but he still came and is here today.”

Glenn said hosting SNL had been a childhood dream of his. His joy is hard to describe.

He said, “It’s a moment when your childhood dreams come true. I’ve been waiting to be on this stage for a long time.”
