Jensen Ackles’ reaction to Countdown being canceled and Jared Padalecki’s emotional support.

‘Countdown’ series canceled!
Prime Video has decided not to renew Jensen Ackles’ crime thriller ‘Countdown’ for a second season, and this news has saddened fans as well as Jensen himself.
The 47-year-old actor didn’t vent his anger on social media; instead, he graciously accepted this harsh reality of the industry.
Goodbye, Detective Meechum
In an Instagram video on October 11, Jensen said he had “so much fun” making the show and wanted to thank the cast and crew for every moment he spent with them.
He also thanked creator Derek Haas.
The show premiered in June. Even though its finale aired in September, according to Deadline, it still remains on Prime Video’s U.S. Top 10 list.
Jensen said clearly, “Sometimes you try your best, but ultimately, some things are just out of your control.”
He also said goodbye to all the characters on the show, including Eric Dane, Jessica Camacho, and the rest of the cast.
Meechum’s Connection to Dean
After playing Dean for 15 years on “Supernatural,” Jensen felt like a homecoming as Detective Mark Meechum in “Countdown.”
He explained that Meechum’s character would feel familiar to fans, just like Dean, but the circumstances are different.
He also enjoyed working with co-star Eric Dane, praising Dane’s “quiet leadership.”
Love from an Old Colleague
Jensen’s post was immediately met with support from his former colleague, “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester).
Jared, 43, wrote, “It’s their (Prime Video’s) loss, bro.
You were amazing on the show. And this is no surprise to anyone.”
He also said he will continue to watch the show again and is looking forward to Jensen’s next project.
