Josie and the Pussycats DuJour reunion: Seth Green, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison share nostalgia.

DuJour Reunion Gupshup
Boy bands are coming back, so why not talk about DuJour? People probably became fans of Josie and the Pussycats’ fictional band DuJour in 2001 in their imaginations.
Now that everyone from the Backstreet Boys to *NSYNC is announcing their reunion tours, the question is quite natural: “Can DuJour also come back on stage?”
Seth Green’s Mast Idea
Seth Green (age 51) recently hinted in an interview with ScreenRant that he is openly thinking about a DuJour reunion.
When Green, Breckin Meyer, and Donald Faison joined the Robot Chicken panel, the teens tried an a cappella freestyle—a “tera-haath-joki-tera-haath” type of cool version, which they call “terrible.”
Then everyone thought, “Why not have a limited tour where DuJour can sing on stage again?”
Seth jokingly told the reporter, “Write a tweet and see if it gets traction.”
DuJour: Who is it?
- Travis: Seth Green
- Marco: Breckin Meyer
- D.J.: Donald Faison
- Les: Alexander Martin
Alan Cumming, Parker Posey, Gabriel Mann, Paulo Costanzo, Missi Pyle and Joel McKinnon Miller also made cameos in the movie.
This cheesy satire musical comedy was based on Archie Comics, but initial reviews and box office response were both decent.
How to Become a Cult Classic?
Josie and the Pussycats developed a cult following through home video and streaming after a failed theatrical run.
Rachel Leigh Cook (Josie), Tara Reid (Valerie) and Rosario Dawson (Melody) made a home in the hearts of audiences.
Today, the film is available to rent on Amazon Prime and AppleTV+—the perfect post-pandemic nostalgia fix.
Rachael & Tara’s Last Year’s Reunion
Rachel Leigh Cook and Tara Reid met on stage at Awesome Con, D.C. in 2024.
The two thanked fans of the movie and talked about starting a possible reunion/remake campaign.
Tara said to the cheers of the audience, “All rock bands come back, right? Let’s get the campaign going!” It was a memorable moment.
Love of the Fanbase
The movie was so ahead of its time that fan theories, memes, and tribute videos continue to be created today.
Rachael Leigh Cook also saluted the fanbase: “You guys proved that the impact of the movie is timeless.”
Future question: Reunion or remake?
Now that Seth has stopped tweeting, there is hope for a real or virtual stage comeback of DuJour.
It could be a mini-tour or a full-on reunion show. Or a digital concert with the original cast—mass nostalgia bomb!
Come on, write a tweet and use the hashtag #DuJourReunion—maybe Hollywood will revive the 2001 coolness again.
