Scandal and fabulous costumes return to HBO
Julian Fellowes’ hit historical drama is back, bringing all the gossip and glamour of 1880s New York right to our homes.
The third season debuted on June 22, and fans are already hooked on the power struggle between the old-money elite and the ambitious newcomers.
Already breaking records?
Wow! The season premiere drew 2.7 million viewers across platforms in just three days—that’s a 20% increase from the season two debut.
Clearly, people are not getting enough of these high-society tales!
What’s different this time?
Season 3 delves deeper into the true identities of these characters.
In the words of Sonja Warfield, “We’re not setting things up anymore. Season 3 is when we get to the juicy part.”
Fellowes herself explained that this season focuses on emotional connections: “It’s about the feelings men and women have for each other…
These are three-dimensional characters who have their own inner lives.”
When can you watch?
New episodes drop every Sunday at 9 pm ET/PT on HBO and the HBO app.
Like season two, we’ll get a total of eight episodes, with the finale on August 10.

Drama is brewing for our favorite characters
The mid-season trailer hints at big changes. Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga) is settling into life as the Duchess of Buckingham, while Jack Trotter’s clock invention finally comes to fruition.
Perhaps most surprising is the fact that power couple George and Martha Russell (Morgan Spector and Carrie Coon) are experiencing relationship troubles while climbing the social ladder.
Coon admitted this was challenging to shoot: “Morgan and I adore George and Bertha’s marriage so much.
It was hard to show that marriage in trouble because we love the scenes where we connect.”
