Kelly Clarkson inspired everyone by returning to ‘The Voice’ after a personal loss

A Short Break… And Then Back!
Season 29 of NBC’s superhit singing reality show The Voice, this time coming as “Battle of Champions”, has become even more special as Kelly Clarkson is back in her iconic red chair.
There was a slight gap – she missed a shoot – but now she is again ready to guide the contestants along with Adam Levine and John Legend.
Jennifer Hudson took over the command
During Kelly’s short absence, another powerhouse sat in her seat – Jennifer Hudson.
Both are American Idol alumni, both Grammy winners, and both have unique coaching styles in themselves.
Hudson handled the battle round rehearsal so that the flow of the show was not disturbed.
Strong Return After Personal Loss
This break was not for any casual reason.
On August 7, Kelly’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock passed away from melanoma, at the age of just 48.
He fought cancer for more than teen years, and said goodbye peacefully amidst family.
Kelly had made his illness public the day before, and postponed her Las Vegas Studio Sessions residency – just so she could spend full time with her children River (11) and Remington (9).
Reba McEntire’s Emotional Note
Brandon was the former stepson of country legend Reba McEntire.
Reba also wrote on her social media, “We will miss him so much.”
The family held a private celebration of life on August 17, where close friends and loved ones shared their memories.
Full Speed On The Career Front
Despite the personal tragedy, Kelly’s professional calendar is packed.
On August 19, her new NBC limited series Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson launched, with the first episode co-starring the Jonas Brothers.
The episodes were pre-taped over the summer, and will also feature Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims and Lizzo in the coming weeks.
Talk Show Preparations
Season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show begins in September, and the production schedule is absolutely on track.
Meaning, fans are going to get both her bubbly energy and soulful performances – whether it’s on the stage of The Voice or her own talk show.
Bottom Line: Kelly Clarkson proved once again that even after life’s toughest moments, it is possible to come back with passion and professionalism.
And honestly, her comeback is not just a TV moment – it’s a reminder of what resilience means. 💪🎶
