Kimora Lee Simmons is getting super real about her life as a single mom to six kids.

The 50-year-old fashion boss and reality star recently spoke openly about raising her large family mostly on her own, explaining that her children’s fathers aren’t very involved.

As she makes her TV comeback with the new show “Kimora Lee Simmons: Back in the Fab Lane,” she’s giving us a peek at what her life really looks like behind all the glamour.

Flying Solo as a Mom of Six

“Usually I’d say we co-parent fine, but the kids are with me all the time,” Kimora Lee Simmons admitted. “I’m pretty much the main parent.”

Her kids include daughters Ming Lee (25) and Aoki Lee (23) with her ex-husband Russell Simmons; son Kenzo Lee (16) with actor Djimon Hounsou; and son Wolfe Lee (10) with former investment banker Tim Leissner, who is currently in jail for financial crimes.

She’s also mom to adopted son Gary Lee (16) and her “bonus son” Jayden (19), who has lived with the family since he was little.

She’s very direct about the situation: “I don’t really have a relationship with my kids’ fathers.”

It Takes a Village

Even though the fathers might not be around, Kimora isn’t completely alone in this. She credits her “village” of friends and family who help support her kids.

This reliable support network has been essential for raising such a large family. Plus, she feels like motherhood is just part of who she is: “I’m always ‘the mom.’

I mother people all around me.” This caring side of her extends beyond just her own children, with many people seeing her as a mother figure.

No Man Needed

Kimora is absolutely clear on one thing: she doesn’t need a man to feel complete.

“My life doesn’t ever revolve around a guy, ever,” she stated firmly.

Being able to take care of herself and her family has been her saving grace: “If I weren’t this person, I don’t know if we would’ve made it or if we would be okay.”

This independence has allowed her to provide a stable life for her children, despite the complicated history with their fathers. Her main goal is to “be strong and self-reliant, and constantly growing.”

Home is Where the Heart Is

Even as her oldest daughters are starting their own lives, Kimora’s house remains their safe place.

“Ming and Aoki are older, but I think they still feel very much like I’m ‘mom,’ and I think that’s okay,” she shared.

Her home is still their base, even when they are traveling and exploring the world.

After being away from reality TV for almost 15 years, Kimora sees her new show as the start of her “chapter two of life.”

She reflected, “I do think things go in a cycle — it’s not just cliché. I’m living it.” Her story keeps moving forward, proving that life really does come full circle.
