Hallmark’s Christmas Queen, Lacey Chabert, makes her Halloween debut with Haul Out the Halloween!

Christmas Queen’s Spooky Twist
It’s impossible to talk about Hallmark Channel films without mentioning Lacey Chabert!
Lacey, who has appeared in over 40 films and is known as the ‘Christmas Queen,’ returns this time with a twist no one expected—and for Halloween!
Lacey returns with her former cast—Wes Brown, Melissa Peterman, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Ellen Travolta—in ‘Haul Out the Halloween,’ the third installment of the ‘Haul Out the Halloween’ franchise.
The film tells the story of a neighborhood obsessed with the holidays.
But for Lacey, it was a strange experience. She told PEOPLE with a laugh, “I felt like I was cheating on Christmas.”
Although her character feels the same way, this new experience was a lot of fun!
The Entry of Halloweentown
This season’s biggest highlight is the arrival of two new neighbors on Evergreen Lane: Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz.
This real-life married couple, famous for the “Halloweentown” films, play Marvin and Luna.
They’re both Halloween fans and help loosen the neighborhood rules a bit.
What’s even more amazing is that Lacey and Kimberly J. Brown are close friends in real life.
Lacey says they’ve been friends since they were 7 or 9 years old, and they starred together in “Les Misérables” on Broadway.
It was a dream come true for Kimberly, too, as she got to work with her friend Lacey and bring the spooky vibe of ‘Halloweentown’ to Hallmark’s neighborhood.
Splashes of Laughter and a Flair of ‘Mean Girls’
One of the hallmarks of this franchise is its hidden ‘Easter Eggs’ (special movie allusions).
This time around, there are plenty of ‘treats’.
Fans will get to hear Lacey deliver the famous “plastic” line from ‘Mean Girls’, and Kimberly will get a close-up of her saluting ‘Halloweentown’.
But the hardest part of filming was holding back laughter.
Lacey Chabert revealed that she laughed so hard during a ‘Wizard of Oz’ scene with Melissa Peterman that she was moved to tears.
Making Stephen Tobolowsky laugh was everyone’s favorite on-set activity.
Stephen even called Melissa Peterman “Closer,” because his comedy is always amazing!
New Romance and Emotional Wedding
A new romance blossoms in the film, one that was briefly teased in the first film.
It’s a “hidden romance” that will now be revealed.
The most emotional moment of filming was the wedding scene. Stephen Tobolowsky admitted that he himself cried watching the beautiful wedding!
It was near the end of filming for the cast, so everyone was already emotional.
This wedding showed that while these neighbors may fight over HOA (Home Owners Association) rules, they share a true community bond.
‘Haul Out the Halloween’ premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 11th, and will stream on Hallmark+ the following day. Don’t forget to see your Christmas Queen in the Halloween mood!
