Lilah Pate say Father’s career is at stake

How did Lilah Pate prove herself on her father Jonas Pate’s show?

Lilah Pate’s web series

Lilah Pate has recently made a great comeback in her new web series ‘The Runarounds’.

The 21-year-old actress, who has previously appeared in supporting roles in shows like ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty‘ and ‘Outer Banks’, is now playing a main character.

The special thing is that the creator of this show is her father, Jonas Pete, working with whom was no less than a dream for her.

Main character in The Runarounds

In this series released on Prime Video, Lilah is playing the role of Sophia Kinney.

The show is the story of a high school band that suddenly goes viral and becomes famous overnight.

This project was very special for Lilah, because she got a chance to work with her father in a professional environment.

Lilah says that since childhood, she loved being on the set and she always learned the work by becoming her father’s “sidekick”.

Her father wanted her to pursue acting only if she really loved it.

It was only when Lilah landed some roles on her own that her father was convinced that it was her passion.

Pressure to prove herself

Working with her father was a matter of pride for Lilyah, but she also felt a lot of pressure to prove herself.

She recalls that her father once told her, “You have to be not just good, but great.

I am putting my whole career on this one performance of yours.” This motivated Lilah to work even harder.

She felt that the opportunity she had been given was a privilege, and she wanted to justify it completely.

Past learnings helped

Lilah says that her past roles prepared her for this role.

She learned a lot from Lola Tong on the set of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, especially the lessons of leadership and humility.

Lola gave each crew member a personal handwritten note, and Lilah continued this tradition on the set of her series.

She is also very grateful to the Outer Banks cast, who love and support her like their little sister.

Focus on output

Finally, Lilah shared another important advice from her father.

When she created her goals for 2025, her father said that all of your goals are related to “outcomes” that we cannot control.

He advised Lilah to connect her goals to “outputs” – that is, things she can control, like hard work and dedication.

This advice changed Liliah’s thinking and now she is learning to be happy in every moment.
