Even at 69, her enthusiasm is palpable. This time, she’s not just saving anyone, but playing the antagonist, Dr. Kay.
A military scientist who is out to hunt down Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Her very first entry in episode 1 is dissecting a creepy creature โ the level of horror is set!
๐ซ Retirement Plans Cancelled
You might be surprised to know that Linda was about to retire from acting!
She even called her agent and dismissed the idea of โโretirement because she was having hip problems and traveling difficulties.
But as soon as the offer for Stranger Things came, all plans were put on hold.
She admitted that she’s been a huge fan of the show since its inception, and it was impossible for her to pass up this opportunity.
๐บ Was a fan, but won’t watch it anymore
There’s a twist here โ Linda, while a fan of the show, won’t be able to watch it anymore. She says she doesn’t like watching her work on screen because she starts judging herself.
Speaking to Variety, she said, “I enjoy watching it more than being in it, but now I can’t enjoy that.”
That’s why they understood the entire story well during the script reading, so that it wouldn’t be necessary to watch it on screen.
