Tragic accident
Malcolm-Jamal Warner, 54, drowned while body surfing during a family trip in Costa Rica on July 20.
Judicial Investigation Agency confirmed the cause of his death was accidental suffocation from drowning.
According to reports, he and a friend were caught in a current; the friend survived, but Warner was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.
An illustrious career and the love of friends
Warner rose to fame as Theo Huxtable on ‘The Cosby Show’ (1984-1992) and also appeared in shows such as ‘Malcolm & Eddie’, ‘Reed Between the Lines’, ‘Suits’, ‘The Resident’ and ‘9-1-1’. His fellow cast members paid heartfelt tributes:
