Maureen McCormick revealed the purpose of visiting the Brady Bunch house with Best Buddies

Maureen McCormick (69), who played Marcia Brady in the popular 70s sitcom The Brady Bunch, recently stepped into the real Brady Bunch house built in North Hollywood.
The house, which was used only for exterior shots of the show, has now been renovated by HGTV in the same style from the inside.
The renovation of this house, purchased in 2018, completely matches the interiors of the show.
An opportunity for a charity favor
Maureen’s return was not just a nostalgia trip.
She attended The John Ritter Foundation’s Evening from the Heart Gala and brought along a group of Best Buddies.
Maureen has long been an advocate for organizations like Best Buddies and Special Olympics.
She gave the special guests a tour of the house and saw the joyous hustle and bustle in every corner.
McCormick herself says, “This event is very close to my heart.”
40 years of marriage: humor and patience
At the get-together, Maureen also shared the secret of her 40-year relationship with her husband, Michael Cummings.
Michael says, “The most important thing is humor, not taking things too seriously, and accepting the other person as they are.”
Maureen added, “Differentness should be celebrated. Without it, love is half-hearted.”
Fresh experience of the first meeting
Both of them recalled that when they first met in the 80s, Michael did not know Maureen.
McCormick says, “He did not know that I was Marcia Brady—it was very refreshing!”
This carefree mutuality further deepened the bond between them.
A house of memories, new enthusiasm
After seeing the renovation unveiling in May 2023, it seemed like the house was just a collection of walls.
But seeing the emotions of Maureen and Best Buddies, it was clear that this place is a living amalgamation of memories.
Every room has a glimpse of paintings, video clips and scenes from the show.
The joy of children’s laughter and listening to old stories was refreshed again.

Maureen McCormick is currently working on several charity projects and plans many important events with Best Buddies in the future.
