Drama on Set and Studying During Breaks

Imagine this: Shooting intense, emotional scenes on set all day and then going home to prepare for a medical exam—sounds a bit crazy, doesn’t it? But that’s exactly what Damian did.

While he was shooting Season 2, he was also studying for his medical school’s “Second State Exam.”

While others partied after the shoot, Damian was engrossed in books.

Studying Became Sanity

You might wonder how anyone could handle such a load? Damian believes this is what keeps him from going mad.

In Season 2, James’s character is deeply saddened and guilt-ridden after his mother’s death.

This role was so dark and exhausting that Damian didn’t get a chance to relax on set.

He explained that if he had sat idle after filming, he might not have been able to overcome his depression. Studies gave him a different world where he could focus.

Season 2 is much deeper

This time, Maxton Hall’s story is quite different from the previous one. Damian says the new season is a little “bleak” but more “honest” and mature.

The relationship between James and Ruby (played by Harriet Herbig-Matten) has seen a lot of ups and downs.

James is going through different stages of grief, and it wasn’t easy to portray it on screen.

While we often get tired of doing one thing, Damian has shown that with passion, anything is possible. He says the medical field keeps him “grounded.”
