Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp revealed how fans often mistake him for Harry Potter.

Noah and Harry Potter Confusion
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp is facing a strange and funny problem these days.
During a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 21-year-old actor revealed that even though he’s been playing Will Byers for the past 10 years, fans often mistake him for Harry Potter.
Noah said that fans recognize him when he’s with his entire cast, but when he’s out alone, this confusion often occurs. This has happened to him three times in the last year alone.
Majestic Mistakes of the False Franchise
Sharing a funny anecdote on the show, Noah explained that fans come up to him and say, “We love your show.” Noah thinks they’re praising Stranger Things and says “Thank you.”
But the next moment, the fan says, “I love Harry Potter!” Only then does Noah realize the fan is talking about the wrong franchise.
Jimmy Fallon also acknowledged the similarities between the two characters—just as Harry is called “The Boy Who Lived,” Will is called “Zombie Boy” on the show.
Not Just Will, Karen Also Included
Not just Noah, other cast members of the show are also being drawn to these comparisons. Cara Buono, who plays Nancy and Mike’s mother, Karen Wheeler, is being compared to Molly Weasley from Harry Potter.
Fans believe that just as Mrs. Weasley protects her children, Karen’s character acts as a shield for her daughter, Holly. Cara said she loves this comparison because Molly is a warm and caring mother.
Waiting for the Finale and New Episodes
Amidst all this fun, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is ready to kick off. Volume 1 of the show is already streaming on Netflix.
Fans are in for a Christmas treat, as three episodes of Volume 2 will be released on December 25th.
The grand finale of this epic series will air on the evening of December 31st, marking an emotional end to this decade-long journey for viewers.
