Pete Davidson put his eye in danger for the film, his eye was saved only after the doctor warned him

Pete Davidson: “That Won’t Be My Eye, Right?”
Pete Davidson got more than he bargained for while filming his new horror movie “The Home.”
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, he shared how a seemingly routine scene almost cost him his vision.
The Poster That Tells It All
Jimmy Fallon pulled out the movie poster showing an eyeball mere millimeters from a menacing needle.
“That is your eyeball,” Fallon pointed out. Davidson nodded, still seemingly traumatized by what went down.
Hollywood Magic… Or Not
“Obviously, when I read the script, I thought, ‘That won’t be my eye. This is movies!
It’ll be CGI,'” Davidson explained with his trademark casual delivery.
“If they can bring people back from the dead in films, they’re not using my actual eye.”
The Doctors Are Here For You
Imagine his surprise when he arrived on set to find three concerned medical professionals waiting.
“What’s going on?” Davidson asked, only to hear director James DeMonaco reply, “They’re here for your eye.”
Those “Recognizable” Eyes
The director insisted on using Davidson’s real eye because apparently, he has “very recognizable eyes.”
Davidson tried reasoning: “Even if that is me, no one’s sitting there thinking, ‘That’s Pete’s eye.'” His logic fell on deaf ears.

Thirty Seconds From Disaster
After reluctantly agreeing to have his eye held open with a lid speculum, the scene went as planned—until Davidson overheard one doctor whisper to the director, “In about 30 more seconds, there’s gonna be some real damage.”
He quickly removed the device, frantically rinsing his eye while wondering what just happened.
The Unnecessary Risk
The kicker? When reviewing footage later, DeMonaco casually admitted, “Yeah, it didn’t have to be your eye.”
Davidson’s expression while telling this story said it all.
About The Film
In “The Home,” Davidson plays Max, a troubled man who takes a job at a retirement home harboring dark secrets.
As he investigates, he discovers connections to his own past.
Personal Growth Beyond The Screen
On a happier note, Davidson also shared his excitement about becoming a father with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.
“For anybody who knows me, it’s my dream to be a dad,” he beamed. “Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore.”
Davidson’s candid storytelling—both about his near-eye disaster and his journey through personal struggles to upcoming fatherhood—reminds us why fans connect so deeply with his unfiltered authenticity.
