Prince Harry’s Surprise Comedy Debut
TV host Stephen Colbert was making fun of Christmas movies on his show The Late Show.
He was telling the audience how, in every TV movie, an American girl suddenly finds a prince, which is impossible in real life.
Then, Prince Harry suddenly appeared on stage and surprised everyone. He had jokingly arrived to “audition” for a fictional movie, The Gingerbread Prince Saves Christmas.
Seeking a Role in a Hallmark Movie
During the skit, Harry asked Colbert how a real prince could get a role in a Hallmark movie. Colbert jokingly asked if he knew any famous TV actresses who could help him.
Harry laughed, referring to his wife, Meghan Markle (who appeared in Suits), and said, “Maybe I know one.” Everyone present laughed.
Lawsuit Joke
During the conversation, Harry joked that he would do anything to get the role, even settling a “baseless lawsuit with the White House.”
When Colbert said he hadn’t done anything like that, Harry jokingly said, “Maybe that’s why you got canceled.”
Eventually, fake snow fell on the stage, and the two recreated a romantic movie scene, after which Colbert bestowed the title of “Prince of Christmas.”
