Ray Romano and Brad's jokes at Emmys 2025

Brothers on stage

At the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett once again showed the same magic that was seen 20 years ago during ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’.

Both of them presented the Outstanding Comedy Series award, which their show had won in 2005.

As soon as they came on stage, they saw each other and it seemed as if they were brothers in real life too.

The audience appreciated their chemistry with tremendous applause.

Funny Jugalbandi

Brad jokingly said that next time he would be satisfied only by seeing his name in In Memoriam at the Emmys.

Ray replied that if Brad was that funny, then “we would have won more awards.”

Then Ray proudly told that Brad has his own comedy club in Las Vegas.

Brad laughed and said, “Yes, but it is in the food court.”

Seeing this taunt and joke, the fans started laughing.

Journey of Everybody Loves Raymond

The show started on 13 September 1996.

Ray played the role of an Italian sports columnist from Long Island, who had three children and his wife was played by Patricia Heaton.

Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts added charm to the show by playing the nosy parents.

Brad, in the role of Robert Barone, proved to be Ray’s younger elder brother, who often teased Ray.

Hopes of a reboot put to rest

On the same evening as Emmy, Brad clearly said that ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ is not going to be rebooted.

Ray and the show’s creator, Phil Rosenthal, have also always repeated the same thing.

Brad said that the departure of Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts makes the reboot impossible.

Without them, that family dynamic is not complete.

Anyway, the show has become a memory in the hearts of the fans.

Binge-watching experience again

In April 2024, Ray himself binge-watched all 210 episodes of the show for the first time.

He rated each episode and admitted that initially, he kept a close eye on himself.

Watching from a distance, he found the episodes even more amazing.

That experience kept him connected to the audience and gave a new color to the old dark, funny moments.

Show availability

210 episodes of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ are now streaming on Peacock and Paramount+.

Whether new viewers or old fans, everyone can enjoy this family comedy again.

Ray and Brad’s chemistry still seems as fresh today as it was on the Emmys stage.
