Robert Irwin Dedicated an Emotional Dance to Terri Irwin on DWTS

Dedication Decision
21-year-old conservationist Robert Irwin chose a dance dedicated to his mother, Terri Irwin, on October 14’s Dedication Night.
He explained that his mother stood by him through every joy and every hardship.
Remembering his father, Steve Irwin, Robert said, “Whenever I missed her, Mom held us, and that was enough.”
Open Emotions on Stage
Robert and partner Witney Carson danced to Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be in My Heart,” which brought tears to every head in the ballroom.
Before the show began, Robert expressed in a confessional that he couldn’t express his gratitude.
During rehearsals, Terri laughed and said, “I’m in tears.”
Bindi’s Sweet Message
As soon as the dance ended, Terri hugged Robert, and Bindi Irwin ran up behind him.
The raw love he received from the judges is beyond words.
Bruno Tonioli, wiping away tears, said, “[Steve] must be looking at you and smiling.”
Carrie Ann Inaba also praised Robert, saying that if she were a mother, she would want a son like Robert.
From Grief to Inspiration
Robert revealed that the week of rehearsals was tough for him.
He wrote on social media that he was touching upon moments of grief he hadn’t spoken about before.
The memory of his father, his mother’s strength, and new realizations made this performance so powerful.
Challenges at Home
Amidst the emotional turmoil, Robert also faced pain at home—his dog, Stella, was diagnosed with cancer.
The news was devastating, but he embraced his emotions.
“With this dance, I want to dance for all the mothers who have lost someone,” he said.
DWTS Love
Guest judge Kym Johnson praised Terri, saying she would learn from her how to raise such children.
Derek Hough also praised the strength of the Irwin family.
This night once again highlighted the power of emotion and humanity on the show.
This dance wasn’t just choreography; it was the story of Robert and Terri Irwin’s unconditional love, which touched every heart.
