‘Modern Family’ fans, listen up! The show is over, but their relationship is still strong. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Hyland proved it.
Jesse, 50, shared a sweet Instagram post in which he is standing backstage with Sarah after the Broadway play ‘Just in Time.’ The joy on both their faces needs no words!

Jesse’s caption for his post clearly reflects his love. He wrote, “My dear Sarah and the entire ‘Just in Time’ team blew the theater away! So proud.”
He shared a group of photos, one of which is going viral, in which Jesse is standing next to a large poster of Sarah, as if saying, “Look at my daughter!”
Jonathan Groff (with whom Sarah plays) and Jesse’s husband, Justin Mikita, are also seen in the photos. It’s like a small family reunion.
Relationship From On-Screen to Off-Screen
The two were together for 11 seasons of ‘Modern Family.’ Sarah played Haley Dunphy, the niece of Jesse’s character, Mitchell Pritchett.
The show ended in 2020, but their love remains the same. Jesse supports all of Sarah’s musical projects.
He even previously appeared in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ to support her.
We even vacation together!
It’s not just about going to see a show. Sarah herself has spoken about how close she is to Jesse. She said, “I love Modern Family so much. I really want a reboot.
Jesse and I are very close. Her husband, Justin, and my husband, Wells, and all four of us go on vacation together.”
The relationship that began on-screen has deepened so much off-screen that they’ve become family. It feels like ‘Modern Family’ never ended, even though it ended!
