It’s been over 15 years since Scheana Shay unhappily dated the married Eddie Cibrian, and now the Vanderpump Rules star is finally revealing where everyone stands today.
In her recently published autobiography “My Good Side,” Scheana opens up about the complicated relationships that followed the headline-making affair, and shares some surprising updates on who she still talks to.
Texting with Brandi: A Unique Friendship
Despite their rocky start, Scheana and Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville have developed an unexpected connection.
“We keep in touch,” Scheana admits. “We text from time to time or I see him out at an event.
I saw him at BravoCon a couple of years ago, but we mostly keep in touch through text.”
The reveal may surprise fans who remember their tense first meeting on Vanderpump Rules years ago.
LeAnn Rimes: Distant But Decent
As for Eddie’s current wife LeAnn Rimes, who was also involved with Eddie during his marriage to Brandi, Scheana reveals that they haven’t spoken in “many years.”
“We used to text or tweet and DM each other a little bit before,” she adds.
That communication has since faded, which indicates that their brief relationship didn’t develop into anything significant.
Completely Disconnected
Perhaps the biggest thing is that Scheana has no contact with Eddie.
“I haven’t spoken to him since 2008 or ‘9, whenever that was,” she says.
“Never met him. I mean, LA is small, but I’m not sure — it’s not so small that I would have bumped into him in 16, 17 years.”
That absence is proof of how completely that chapter has closed for both of them.

Scheana stresses the time frame: “I met him in 2006, 19 years ago. People forget how long ago it happened.”
She explains that the affair happened “five and a half years before we shot our pilot for Vanderpump Rules,” which shows how much life has changed since then.
Regrets and growth
In her autobiography, Scheana honestly reflects on her feelings about her affair.
“I’ve been asked many times if I regret my relationship with Eddie.
To be honest, it’s hard to curse yourself for dating a married man when you didn’t know he was married.
He lied to me over and over again when I wanted nothing more than to trust him.”
A Heartfelt Apology
What Scheana does regret is not considering the impact this would have on Brandi and Eddie’s sons Jake and Mason, now 18 and 22.
“I did not think about the impact this would have on Brandi and her children,” she writes, and offers a genuine apology: “I am truly sorry for the pain I caused Brandi and those boys. No one deserves this.”
This reflection shows how much she has changed from the “young, naive girl” she once was.
