Taylor Swift's Eagles history predates her Travis Kelce romance.

Taylor Swift’s Eagles Fandom Started Long Before Travis Kelce

Taylor‘s new Disney+ docuseries, “The Eras Tour | The End of an Era,” has delivered a little surprise for fans.

It turns out Taylor was supporting the Philadelphia Eagles long before Travis Kelce entered the picture!

In the first episode, she’s seen wearing an Eagles jersey during early tour rehearsals, showcasing her Pennsylvania roots and laid-back style, well before her Chiefs Kingdom training began.

Love for Her Hometown

Growing up near Reading, Pennsylvania, Taylor’s allegiance to football was a natural fit.

She didn’t just like the Eagles—she even wrote about an Eagles t-shirt in her 2020 song “Gold Rush.”

The docuseries shows her proudly sporting Eagles gear during early Eras Tour rehearsals, a time when no one could have predicted her future Chiefs connection. Talk about fate!

Brotherly Showdown

The timing couldn’t have been better, or more ironic. Taylor kicked off her Eras Tour in March 2023, shortly after the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

This wasn’t just any Super Bowl; it was the infamous “Kelce Bowl,” where Travis and his brother Jason (Eagles center) faced off against each other.

Little did Taylor know she would soon be sparking curiosity and friendship amidst this historic family rivalry!

A Missed Opportunity, Forever Remembered

Their love story began at Arrowhead Stadium when Travis attended Taylor’s concert in July 2023. Despite his best efforts, he couldn’t meet her after the show (imagine, even Travis Kelce couldn’t get backstage!).

But fate had other plans—by September, Taylor was cheering him on from the stands at a Bears game, the first time she saw him in action.

Two Superstars, One Shared Life

The sweetest moment of the docu-series is when he calls her, and they realize how similar their lives are. Taylor tells Travis, “We basically do the same thing.”

They laugh about their team friends and coaches, with Taylor jokingly saying that while Travis has Coach Reid, she has “my mom.”

At the end of the conversation, Travis says, “Thank you for making my life better,” and Taylor replies, “I know, it was like—some people relate to a vitamin drip. I got this conversation.”

Now happily engaged, Taylor recently called Travis “the love of my life” on The Late Show. Fans can now watch the first two episodes of their docu-series on Disney+!
