Starting the morning with puzzles

Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are a Hollywood couple who prove that love has no age limit.

These stars, who are working together on the second season of the Netflix series A Man on the Inside, may be busy on set, but their day never begins without a special routine.

77-year-old Ted and 72-year-old Mary wake up every morning around 4:30. Why? So they can play Wordle, Connections, and Spelling Bee.

Ted says he finishes half of the Spelling Bee in the car before going to a shoot. Mary jokingly says they make “one great brain,” so they solve these games together.

Together, even when they’re far apart

This daily ritual doesn’t just last when they’re together. Ted mentioned last year that even if Mary is shooting in a different time zone, they both wake up at their own time so they can play these games while drinking coffee on their phones. For them, this moment is like “heaven on earth.”

Now that they’re sharing the same trailer on the set of A Man on the Inside, their joy has reached its peak. Having fun while working is a long-standing habit.

Celebrating 30 Years in Japan

The couple, who tied the knot in October 1995, recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. For this special occasion, they traveled to Japan, which had always been number 1 on their “travel bucket list.”

Ted said that as soon as they finished work, they hopped on a plane the next day and left. It was just the two of them, and they absolutely loved the experience.

From meeting on the set of the film Pontiac Moon in 1994 until today, their journey has been wonderful.

Grandchildren and “Life is Good”

At this stage in life, they are both extremely happy with their five grandchildren and consider themselves “obsessed” with them.

Ted says he never imagined he would find so much love and fun at age 70.

Mary believes that despite their differences, they are “strangely compatible.” Working together is like “icing on the cake” for them. Truly, as Ted says, “Life is good.”
