Tell Me Lies Season 3: Will Stephen Make Lucy’s Life Hell Again?

Finally, the day has come! Preparations for the third season of ‘Tell Me Lies’ have begun. This means we won’t be late to return to Stephen and Lucy’s toxic, addictive world.

Jackson White, who plays Stephen, had already announced his desire for Season 3 in October 2024.

He said the show had given him some of his best friends. And yes, he even had drinks with his girlfriend, Grace Van Patten (Lucy), on set!

New Additions to Cast, Old Friends Return

Season 3 will also feature some new faces. Iris Apatow will play the ‘bubbly but fragile’ college freshman Amanda.

Another new character will be Alex, played by Costa D’Angelo. Alex is a psychology student… but also a part-time drug dealer!

And he has a strange, complicated past with Bree (Catherine Missal).

One of those old friends, Tom Ellis, is also returning. He confirmed in May 2025, “Yes, I’m coming back.” So it seems we’ll see both old friendships and new enemies.

What will happen in Season 3? A time jump!

Now the question is, what turn will the story take next? According to show creator Meghan Oppenheimer, Season 3 will involve a slight time jump.

The first two seasons revolved around 2008, but now the time jump will take place a few years in the future.

Season 3 will tie up some loose ends from 2008, but will focus more on the story of 2015.

The official synopsis, released in November 2025, states that Stephen and Lucy will promise to be different, but their past will continue to haunt them.

Lucy will be embroiled in a controversy she absolutely does not want to be involved in.

And their friends will also have to face the consequences of their past destructive actions.

Tom Ellis has teased that the scripts are “as dark, toxic, and funny as you’d expect.

And just when you think these characters couldn’t do anything worse for themselves, they will!”

It remains to be seen whether Stephen and Lucy’s toxic relationship will finally end. Or will they continue to destroy each other? The wait just got even more interesting!
