The Challenge Mini-Final: Who cheated and how?

MTV’s The Challenge: Vets & New Threats Mini-Final reveals cheating and T.J. Lavin’s toughness.

Mini-Final ‘Broken Dreams’ Challenge

Season 41 of MTV’s The Challenge: Vets and New Threats, the mini-final “Broken Dreams” proved to be brutal.

This time, contestants had to race across a six-mile, 7,000-foot climbing course.

Along the way, there were puzzles, math problems, and a final food stop that could determine the fate of the game.

Puzzles, Math, and Food Test

Strategy and stamina were tested at every checkpoint.

They had to solve math problems, solve riddles, and then eat raw onions, garlic, ginger, and hot peppers.

These vegetables seemed somewhat tolerable compared to the insects, but the way they were eaten with such a grimace shocked everyone.

Cheating in Food Revealed

Vet Michaela Bradshaw, among those who finished their meal, noticed that the onion placed in front of her was not the same one she had eaten.

Vet Derrick Kosinski also showed the camera pieces and chunks of leaves, saying, “Look at the tape, there’s a whole onion lying there.”

New Threat Justin Hinsley expressed his anger, saying he hated those who were throwing the papers.

Anger at Cheaters

New Threat Leonardo Dionicio said, “All these people are cheating so badly, now we’re at the bottom of the leaderboard.”

Vets Aneesa Ferreira and Jonna Mannion thought, “If they’re going to throw everything, why shouldn’t we?”

They dropped the remaining spice chunks on the ground, saying that if they had to take a penalty, they should take it.

Derrick and Amanda’s Spirit

Derrick Kosinski and America Lopez ate every piece to the last.

America said, “There are so many difficulties, but I always thought I could do it.

My family’s small village is my strength; I can’t let them down.” His tenacity put the other players to shame.

T.J. Lavin’s Strictness

Host T.J. Lavin said after the mini-final, “I hate quitters, but I hate cheaters most of all.

There was rampant cheating here.” He then announced that no points would be awarded for the entire race.

The leaderboard remained unchanged, which didn’t help anyone.

CT Tamburello’s Comment

Five-time champion CT Tamburello said, “If you have to cheat to win, it means you don’t believe in yourself.”

He explained that strategy is different, cheating is different, and such behavior shouldn’t be allowed on the show.

Next Drama

With no change in the leaderboard, players are considering new strategies.

The partner selection order will remain the same, but a new book of alliances and betrayals has been opened.

The next episode features aggressive play and suspense—Wednesdays at 8 pm on MTV.
