Theresa Nist responds to Gerry Turner’s book about their relationship on ‘The Golden Bachelor.

“You Should Have Stopped the Wedding!”
The love story born on ‘The Golden Bachelor’ has now turned bitter.
Gerry Turner has made several accusations against his wife, Theresa Nist, in his new book. But now Theresa has responded.
She says that everything Gerry wrote is not true. Theresa clearly stated, “If you didn’t want to marry me, you should have stopped the wedding, even though it was on TV. This was about our lives.”
What Was the Truth About the Sofa?
Gerry complained that just five days after their wedding, Theresa made him sleep on the sofa and avoided intimacy. But Theresa refuted this story.
She explained that they slept together the first night, but their sleep was disrupted because their bed was too small.
The next morning, Gerry himself offered to sleep on the sofa, and Theresa reluctantly accepted. She immediately ordered a new king-size bed and renovated the entire bedroom.
What Was the Relationship Really Like?
Theresa says that their relationship was not healthy from the beginning.
Surprisingly, Theresa even said that if Gerry had actually chosen the other contestant, Leslie, she would have supported him. She would have been happy for them.
This proves that the rushed marriage and the pressure of television were major reasons for the breakdown of this relationship.
Why Did Theresa Speak Out?
Theresa didn’t want to say all this in the media. She said that she didn’t want to defame Gerry, nor did she want to hinder his future life. But Gerry’s book forced her hand.
Her biggest concern was for Gerry’s daughters and granddaughters, whom she loves very much.
She didn’t want them to hear anything negative about Gerry, but now it has become difficult to remain silent.
