After 26 years, a nostalgic treat is coming for Home Improvement fans – a mini‑reunion is going to happen in the season 2 premiere of Tim Allen’s new sitcom, Shifting Gears.
And this is not just a cameo, but old friends are coming back in a twist of a new story.

Patricia Richardson, Richard Karn, and Debbe Dunning – the teens will appear in an episode with their Home Improvement co-star Tim Allen, which will be telecast on ABC on October 1.
Details are tight-lipped for now, but it’s clear the trio will support Matt Parker (Allen’s character) suddenly.
Shifting Gears plot vibe
The show follows the life of Matt — a stubborn, widowed classic car restoration shop owner whose home his estranged daughter Riley (Kat Dennings) moves into with her kids.
