Todd Chrisley shared his grief and memories for the first time over the death of nic Kerdiles.

The wound is fresh even after two years
Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley opened up about the death of his daughter Savannah Chrisley’s ex-fiancé Nic Kerdiles for the first time on his podcast Chrisley Confessions 2.0.
In September 2023, 29-year-old Nick died in a motorcycle accident, and it was the “toughest moment of life” for Todd.
“I was numb”
Todd said that when Savannah broke the news to him during a prison visit, his heart was broken.
“It was literally so surreal that I became numb… we cried the whole visitation,” he said.
Todd also clarified that this would be his first and last public statement on the topic.
Relationship still intact even after breaking up
Savannah and Nic met in 2017, got engaged in 2019, but their engagement broke up in 2020.
Still, Todd says that Nic was “another son” for him.
“Even when they broke up, I still had lunch with Nic… we used to text everyday,” Todd recalled.
Julie Chrisley also remembered Nic’s loyalty — during the trial when Todd and Julie were charged with bank fraud and tax evasion, Nic drove them to court every day, took care of their breakfast, and stood by their side.
From Prison to Pardon, and Nic in Between
Todd and Julie received a combined prison sentence of 19 years in 2022, which was later reduced.
They were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May 2025.
During this time, Nic kept in touch with them, sending emails and being a part of their family.
Savannah’s Pain
Savannah also shared her regrets over Nic’s death — regrets about their conversations that never happened.
She said that when she got the news, she was in shock and kept texting Nic, hoping it was fake news.
“A Good, Decent Human Being”
Todd described Nic: “He was a good, decent, honorable human being who loved and wanted to be loved.”
He says that Nic learned from this world how much the Chrisley family loved him.
In the end:
This emotional tribute to Todd Chrisley is not just a story of loss, but a reminder that the love of some relationships remains alive even after a breakup.
And sometimes, “family” is not just a blood relation. 💙
