Co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten have said they will honor their characters with a tribute episode.
Meaning, their memories will be kept alive within the show’s storyline.
Remembering Tristan Rogers…
Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio, passed away last August at the age of 79. The writers said, “We miss him deeply.
Our goal is to pay tribute to him and his character in the same way we did for Leslie Charleson (Monica).”
And what about Denise Alexander?
Regarding Denise Alexander, who passed away naturally at the age of 85, Chris Van Etten said, “We want to make sure we achieve the same goals we did with Monica’s story.
We want a story that carries Lesley and Robert’s name into the future, so we can feel their presence for years to come.”
Monica’s departure showed the way
Eight months after Leslie Charleson’s passing, the show bid farewell to her character with a two-part memorial episode.
In that memorial episode, characters like Jason, Ned, and Drew reminisced about their memories with Monica.
Monica had been a key part of the show for nearly 50 years.
