On October 9th, Wendy and husband Eddie Osefo were charged with 16 counts – seven of which are felonies! According to police, the couple filed a false “theft” case in Jamaica in April 2024.
They claimed designer bags and jewelry were missing from their bedroom, but an investigation revealed that they had returned some of the items to the stores themselves!
TMZ reports that they filed a claim for approximately ₹3.7 crore (USD 450,000) from the insurance company. The most surprising thing? Police claim Wendy later showed off the “stolen” diamond ring on social media!
Impact on TV Career
The scandal immediately affected Wendy’s shows. Her new series, “Wife Swap,” which was scheduled to premiere on October 14th, has been postponed until the 21st.
But one saving grace: Wendy will not appear in the first episode. RHOP producer Andy Cohen said on his radio show: “I’m really sad… Wendy always championed education and family values.
I hope this doesn’t come to this.” He called Wendy a “role model” and appealed for prayers for the family.
