The methods utilized by the cyber attackers have revealed some of the underlying vulnerabilities within the recording industry. According to the lawsuit, the anonymous hackers used sophisticated phishing scams and targeted hacking to gain access to Grande’s private content.

Notably, the cyber attackers did not directly target the singer but instead went after her photographers and music producers to unlawfully access the cloud servers.

In response to the cybercrime, Grande’s elite lawyers have filed a lawsuit against the anonymous hackers.

In the filed court documents, the singer’s lawyers have accused the hackers of committing a blatant violation of her privacy. Additionally, the lawyers have accused the hackers of violating California’s computer hacking laws.

Finally, the lawyers also accused the hackers of conversion as they unlawfully took personal property and used it to benefit their own ends.
