She woke up the day after the awards show and felt great, having no idea what she was saying when she was drunk. Being in Watford at that time and living with Mel B and Geri, her roommates, surprised her with their disgusted and upset reactions.

Melanie said that she was shocked to realise that she had crossed the line and embarrassed her bandmates in the process. The morning after the scary confrontation, Melanie was summoned to the manager’s office for the first time.

Melanie Was Told Never to Act Out Again, or She Would be Fired

Simon Fuller, the manager of the Spice Girls, warned Melanie that such unacceptable conduct should never happen again. He would fire her immediately if he ever saw her doing something like that again.
